Gateways
Torii is a shinto structure that demarcates an entrance or a gate into sacred grounds–usually a shinto shrine. However, along the coast of Japan as well as in some of the larger inland lakes, we find torii erected in the water. This is an ongoing project to capture these torii-in-water scenes in Japan.
